Fabric Petrological Characteristics

Samples from the kiln at Quinto de Alegria is composed of a fairly fine-textured clean clay matrix with noticeable strands of mica, a scatter of ill-sorted quartz grains, some iron-rich clay pellets and iron-oxides.
