Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Lusitanian 9 fabric

Fabric Visual Characteristics

Hard-fired, gritty reddish fabric.

Fabric Petrological Characteristics

Material from the kilns at Porto dos Cacos show a coarse fabric containing frequent grains of quartz, long strands of mica and a scatter of discrete grains of felspar (plagioclase, microcline and potash). Material from Quinto de Rouxinol is in a similar fabric to the above but lacks the larger quartz grains, larger strands of mica and felspars.
