Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Visual characteristics

Amphorae of this form examined from Britain, and probably from southern France, tend to have a soft, slightly rough fairly fine-textured fabric, pinkish-buff (between 5YR 8/4 to 7.5YR 7/4) in colour.

There is some variability of fabric no doubt reflecting several different production centres.
