Awards

Awards are made on a competitive basis to candidates ordinarily resident in the UK (or elsewhere in the EU for a fees only award) for programmes of research and for certain approved courses of full-time study leading to higher degrees at the University of Ulster and the Queen’s University of Belfast. This Department is not responsible for allocating awards to Northern Ireland students who wish to pursue postgraduate study at an institution in Great Britain. Instead students intending to undertake postgraduate study at an institution in GB will compete for an award offered by one of the GB research councils.
