Introduction

Mount Pleasant, Soulbury, Buckinghamshire. Archaeological Watching Brief (OASIS ID: borderar1-319268)

Border Archaeology Ltd (BA) was instructed by Jarvis Contracting Ltd on behalf of Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust to carry out Archaeological Observation of ground works in connection with the demolition of 16 garages at the end of Mount Pleasant Soulbury Buckinghamshire (NGR SP 88143 271152) followed by the erection of two dwellings and creation of five parking spaces (Planning Ref. 13/01635/APP). The ground works comprised a trench excavation, with maximum dimensions of 9.00m x 0.90m x 2.00m. No features, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance were encountered during the course of the works.
