An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in July 2016 at land off Hospital Lane, Powick, Worcestershire. Five trenches were excavated. Two narrow, shallow ditches, both of which are likely to relate to agricultural land management or division, were identified in the western half of the site. Two abraded sherds of Roman pottery were recovered from the fill of one of these ditches. However, the possibility that this pottery is residual should not be overlooked.
