An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in August and September 2013 at land west of Averill Close, Broadway, Worcestershire. Four trenches were excavated.
The evaluation revealed a number of potentially Iron Age features. These accorded with the geophysical survey results, indicating an enclosure and circular ditches. In the west of the site, a stoney consolidation spread of possible Iron Age date was observed. Across the northern part of the site, the only evidence of post-medieval furrows were observed.
