Introduction

Bray Valley Quarries, Brayford, Barnstaple, Devon. Archaeological Investigation (OASIS ID: cotswold2-281855)

In December 2015 and January 2016, Cotswold Archaeology carried out a programme of archaeological strip, map and sample excavation in advance of quarry extension works at Bray Valley Quarries, Brayford, Barnstaple, Devon. The watching brief recorded a pit dating to the Early/Middle Bronze Age, as well as an undated pit and an undated (but possibly post-medieval) ditch.
