Introduction

Castle Bungalow, Purlieu Lane, Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Archaeological Evaluation and Watching Brief (OASIS ID: cotswold2-287821)

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in January 2017 and an associated watching brief in December 2016, at the site of Castle Bungalow, 2 Purlieu Lane, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 1PQ.

Seven trenches were excavated. Despite the archaeological potential of the application area, the watching brief and evaluation identified no archaeological remains within the site, with the exception of a later post-medieval to modern earthen bank and landscaping works associated with the former Castle Bungalow.
