Introduction

Land at 52 Bretforton Rd, Badsey, Worcestershire

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in February 2013 at Land at Bretforton Road, Badsey, Worcestershire. Sixteen trenches were excavated. A ditch terminal and a pit/ditch terminal containing quantities of probable Iron Age pottery and animal bone were identified to the east of the site. Although these features are suggestive of settlement activity, no other contemporary features were identified during the evaluation making further interpretation unreliable. An undated pit/posthole and an undated ditch were identified in the north-western corner of the site.
