Introduction

Land at Kiln Close, Leigh Sinton, Worcestershire

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in October 2013 on land off Kiln Lane, Leigh Sinton, Worcestershire. Twelve trenches were excavated. Evidence of medieval/post-medieval agricultural practice, comprising the ploughed out remains of ridge and furrow cultivation, was identified in Trenches 2, 3, 5-7, 9 and 10. No further archaeological features or deposits were encountered during the course of the archaeological evaluation.
