Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Artefact data:

Photographs of many of the metalwork objects and coins described in the csv files below can be found by going to the metalwork query and the coins query pages.

Documentation and descriptions of how the data was collected can be found both in the overview page and in some of the reports available for download above.

Please note due to the special characters contained within the data, the coins data has been encoded as UTF-8. You may need to specify this character encoding when importing this data into a database to ensure all characters render properly. Unfortunately a small number of characters could not be retained in this file. Please cross-reference with the pdf file (in the reports section above) which contains the most accurate version of the coins data.
