This pillbox has been adapted by the land owner as a dovecote, and has now so changed from its original appearance as to be almost unrecognisable, apart from the very obvious S-facing embrasure which the doves use for access. Apparently, the present owner removed about 2ft of the S wall which was at one time much closer to the driveway than now. The rear, or N-side, pf the pillbox is problematical. The whole of a section of the outside wall in Sherecroft Farm Drive may have been removed, as there is a section of brickwork 5ft 3ins in height with further concrete-covered brick 1ft 4ins over the top. This section measured 6ft 10ins across from E to brick buttress supporting wall which is 1ft 5ins across, then 7ft 3ins to plaster between new and original brick. There are six rusted iron bolts in the concrete at the top, the whole of the top being covered in ivy.
