An unusual design of a pillbox built specifically for the local terrain. It had a heavy blast wall on the seaward side and this in turn is protected by Wrangle Point headland. The roof of the pillbox is at ground surface level. It has 2 embrasures commanding the main beaches of Bude, and the entrance is situated on the opposite side to the embrasures. Internal measurements 15ft x 7ft. The roof is 43ins thick, with 1in of soil on top. Walls are 42ins thick. Embrasures 9ins x 4ins. Initials 'W.H.' engraved on top of N blast wall.
