Type 27 pillbox with central A.A. well [now filled with fence posts and wire]. It faces W down valley towards Calne. On front face, inside on ceiling, are the very clear words, written in cement, 'Wimpey's. 680 C.O. R.E. Section 3 1940. C.O. Lt. Beaumont'. Original rusty barbed wire and pickets alongside in position.
