Low concrete triangular enclosure with 18ft long walls. Each wall is 12in thick and 22-26in high with 4in crenellations. The rear, west side has an entrance in its centre 6ft wide - the opposite point of the triangle facing east towards the expected line of attack. There is no concrete floor or base - the ground height in the interior is the same as the exterior. Partially blocking the entrance is a large oak tree which hangs over the structure. Immediately behind is a water filled ditch. A prepared rifle position for a platoon of infantry, it was built by the military during the summer of 1940. It was intended that infantry men could crawl along the ditch behind the structure, through the entrance, and up to a prone position behind the walls.
