Two large concrete blocks now incorporated in modern sea wall defences. Approx 7ft high. One block has a bronze plaque with the following inscription: `County Borough of Southend-on-Sea. 'On the threat of invasion by German forces in 1940 1804 of these concrete blocks were constructed on the sea front as part of the coastal defences.''
