Type 22 pillbox with additional concrete reinforcement skirt, built in a stepped form up to the bottom of the embrasures. Additional steel plates added to embrasures to reduce their size. Entrance faces seawards, half blocked by addition of reinforcement. Upper half of entrance made in to an embrasure. Entrance gained by passage through reinforcement skirt. Small embrasure to cover the old entrance still in place and not blocked. Skirt has modern iron hand rail and steps up to allow access to top of the skirt as a viewing platform.
