Heightened type 22 pillbox and 9 anti-tank blocks E of railway and 7 blocks W of railway [see UORN 12138].

An unusually tall brick and concrete hexagonal pillbox, purpose-built to cover the marshes to the E and the railway line from the N. It has 8ft sides, is 11ft high and has a doorway set 3ft 6ins from the ground. The outer brickwork has fallen off the E corner. Anti-tank blocks cover the approaches to the level crossing, 9 to the E and 7 to the W of the railway, the latter in the back garden of the crossing keeper's house [see UORN 12138].
