Pillbox standing alongside coastal path overlooking length of Budleigh Salterton beach. Use of corrugated iron shuttering evident in exterior appearance. Currently being used as a bat refuge, with all embrasures boarded up.

DES=WILLS LISTS SQUARE CONCRETE SOUTH-FACING PILLBOX AT SY077819 (WILLS). VIS=29/07/1994 (HORNER) PILLBOX VISIBLE FROM THE AIR DURING AERIAL RECONNAISSANCE. HAS RECENTLY BEEN CONVERTED TO A BAT SHELTER. OVERLOOKS THE ENTRY TO THE RIVER OTTER ESTUARY (HORNER).
