Auxiliary Unit Operational Base.
Information from a Mr. Duncan Brown, of Colchester. He found this hide whilst visiting the scout camp in 1942. He heard a hollow noise whilst crossing the entrance hatch. There was a store of explosives inside. He also saw the site destroyed in 1945.
