Type 24 pillbox.

Type 24 shell-proof pillbox.

Semi-sunken type 24 thick-walled pillbox on sloping ground covering valley. Entrance is protected by brick and concrete 'porch' possibly fitted shortly after main pillbox construction. Walls are of concrete panelled shuttering (prefabricated) inside and out, secured by steel rods.

Variant form of a type 24 pillbox. Concrete-faced with prefabricated vertical concrete panelling fixed by iron bolts. Rounded roof edge. Small embrasures. It has an attached brick entry porch on the W side with a concrete slab roof, now semi-buried. No access - private field. Faces NNE.
