Type 22 pillbox located in corner of field, very largely overgrown. It faces towards road junction and Warmwell Airfield. Copious amounts of WW2 barbed wire make access difficult. Brick elevations, with concrete roof originally cast on asbestos roofing sheets laid over walls (undulating texture underneath). Entrance [grenade throwing?] with brick retaining wall and 3 steps down to entrance. Inside, T-shaped anti-ricochet wall. Concrete floor. Wall 9.5ins thick. 5 embrasures 25ins wide inside, 14ins wide outside x 10ins high. Embrasures set in concrete within the brick walls.
