Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Overview

The digital archive

The digital archive currently consists of the following resources:

  • Wessex Archaeology, 2006, England's Historic Seascapes. Final Report for English Heritage, ref: 58370.06.
  • Wessex Archaeology, 2006, England's Historic Seascapes. Method Statement: Marine HLC GIS-based Methodology. Final Report for English Heritage, ref: 58370.05
Project Website

One of the main products of the project was a flexible and accessible website that could represent the public face of the Seascapes project and that could also be freely disseminated. Under the auspices of English Heritage, the ADS have archived the project website - enabling long term preservation of a valuable research and public dissemination tool - and have reproduced the significant properties of the original resource for public-use on these pages. Please click here to view this resource.

Non-digital Archive and Publications

A major part of the England's Historic Seascapes project was the creation of a series of interactive HTML pages and an ArcGIS project. These outputs are not currently disseminated by the ADS

Any questions about these outputs should be directed to either the depositor or English Heritage's Maritime Team
