Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Overview

The digital archive currently consists of the following resources:

  • Pee, N., Satchell, J., Merritt, O., Earl, G., Sturt, F. and Dix, J. 2007: England's Historic Seascapes: Solent and Isle of Wight and adjacent Marine Zone Pilot Area. Non-Technical Report. Final Report as submitted to English Heritage.
Multimedia Resource

One of the main products of the project was a flexible and accessible multi media resource that could represent the public face of the Solent and Wight Seascapes that could also be freely disseminated. To this end the top-level Character Area descriptions were imported into a desk-top publishing package which has allowed a colourful format to be developed.

Under the auspices of English Heritage, the ADS have archived the multi media resource - enabling long term preservation of a valuable research and public dissemination tool - and have reproduced the significant properties of the original resource for public-use on these pages.
