Abstract:		 A rapid desk top study and field appraisal was undertaken to asses the archaeological potential of a proposed road improvement corridor. The site visit confirmed the presence of cropmarks, already known from existing aerial photographs, and located more evidence of field systems. There was no evidence to suggest that these were earlier than medieval in date. [Au(abr)]
