Abstract:		 This Archaeological and Cultural Heritage Desk Based Assessment was prepared in support of an outline planning application for a Science Park. An assessment of a study area of 1.5km was carried out. There are twelve Listed Buildings, 39 recorded cultural heritage sites and no scheduled monuments within the study area. Development would have a moderate or slight negative impact upon the setting and context of the historic landscape character, There is a moderate potential for the proposed development to impact directly upon previously unrecorded archaeological remains within the site boundary. It was proposed that a trial magnetometer survey of the site be undertaken to determine whether a full survey of the site will be an effective evaluation method and examine areas of the site to investigate local variation in geology, topography and earthwork coverage.
