The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A rapid desk-based assessment was undertaken prior to a trial trench evaluation on land to the north/northeast of New Buildings farmstead, Whitbeck, Millom. The desk-based assessment found that the immediate vicinity around the proposed development site was an area of prehistoric activity. Immediately east of New Buildings was a double ditched enclosure discovered in aerial photographs as well as several concentrations of flint flakes. Stone circles and a cairn have also been found within the area. The trail trench evaluation found no archaeological finds or features.
