Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks associated with the construction of a house, garage and a pool-house. Aerial photographs indicated earthwork remains of medieval crofts on farmland to the east, with a feature interpreted as a hollow way passing to the north of the site. Features located during the groundworks included ditches and a possible pond. Although generally undated the remains probably relate to the shrunken medieval village. A small quantity of medieval pottery was recovered from the site. |
