Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment identified that the proposal site was situated in an area where the potential for survival of prehistoric and Romano-British activities, possibly below alluvial layers, was high. Medieval pottery had been recovered from land on the opposite side of the motorway and medieval ridge and furrow was identified adjacent to the site. An abandoned watercourse which ran through the site may ahve been associated with medieval or post-medieval field drainage. [Au adap] |
