Abstract:		 An excavation and salvage recordings were carried out on the line of the easement for the proposed installation of a sewage pumping main. The easement affected a number of sites of archaeological interest, primarily amongst which was Abbot Chyryton's Wall which is a scheduled ancient monument. Evidence was found for the early development of the boundary of the Evesham Abbey precinct and the below-ground condition of the precinct wall was determined. A ditch running at an oblique angle to the wall probably represented a pre-wall boundary for the precinct. [Au(abr)]
