Abstract: |
A watching brief was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services during the ground work for the new sewer pipe installed by Thames Water in Church Street, Somerton, Oxfordshire, partially encroaching on the Somerton Village Earthworks Scheduled Ancient Monument. The investigation revealed numerous modern service trenches along Church Street. Within the boundaries of the Scheduled Ancient Monument an undated track-way surface and dry stone wall were revealed. |
