Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out during the removal of an old electricity pole, which was located within the boundary of the Royal Military Canal Scheduled Ancient Monument at Priory Lands Farm, Appledore, and its replacement by a new post which was inserted into the same hole. No archaeological features or artefacts were encountered during the work.
