The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Groundworks for the construction of a block of four flats were observed. Trenches exposed natural deposits, deposits of uncertain date containing charcoal and shell, and modern contexts including a building and associated cellar. Buried soil with small quantities of cultural material probably had formed the ground surface before the area was developed. Medieval Fratton was not identified at but much of the site had been disturbed by modern building work. [Au(adp)]
