Abstract:
The excavations on the site, ahead of a housing development, revelealed numerous aspects of the history of the site. Roman activity was represented by boundary ditches, possible domestic activity and a 4th century cemetery. During the medieval period the site was occupied and a building with back yard was discovered along with a large possible Civil War ditch. [AIP]
