Abstract:
The excavation produced findings that suggested that the site remained in use from the late prehistoric (1st millennium BC) into the Roman period. These findings include a substantial near circular (penannular) ditch of possible late Bronze Age or Iron Age date, together with a series of probable late prehistoric and Roman field boundaries, evidence of industrial activity and a very large amount of pottery.
