Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken on leveling work and foundation trenches. The leveling process nowhere impinged beneath the topsoil. The foundation trenches contained modern material, probably associated with a small building which stood on the site until about 30 years previously. Some cobbles observed may be associated with a path or track. There is no evidence that they were of particular early origin. [Au(abr)] |
