Abstract:
A watching brief was held over the ground disturbance work necessary for the erection of a new building at Chapel Farm, South Kilvington. The watching brief had been made a condition of the planning permission as the site lay immediately to the north of the Deserted Medieval Village of North Kilvington. Nothing of archaeological interest was observed, it appeared that a series of farm buildings had stood in the area in the past, and had in turn been demolished, thus creating the modern buildup deposits observed.
