Abstract: |
Rapid Identification Survey of visible archaeological assets on land at Weybourne Forest Lodge, south of the existing development and in advance of the construction of new lodges. The site has potential for remains relating to World War Two defensive enclosures identified on RAF aerial photographs dating to 1946. The survey did not identify any earthworks or above ground archaeological remains on the assessment site. Two small depressions and a modern bank were identified south of the site on the edge of the pinewood plantation. |
