Abstract:		 <summary>Trial excavation and geophysical survey were undertaken in two fields prior to an application for sand extraction. Site HPP202 contained significant archaeological deposits, including a series of square barrows of probable Iron Age date. At site HPP203 a series of trenches, test holes and a magnetometer survey did not reveal evidence of archaeological deposits; however, there was a possibility that some archaeological deposits lay sealed beneath the aeolian sand.
