The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 This Archaeological and Heritage Desk-Based Assessment was prepared to inform the development of a store extension and alterations to an existing Sainsbury's store at Church Street, Warrington. Although several listed buildings are located in the vicinity of the development site due to landscaping no further mitigation was suggested. No mitigation measures were proposed with regard to effects on the non-designated heritage sites. Although a record of a Roman road was projected through the site, previous investigation and the previous use of the site as a wireworks demonstrated any remains would have been truncated. The extent of the redevelopment and limited potential for remains meant further archaeological evaluation or mitigation was not considered to be necessary or proportionate for this development.
