Abstract:
A field evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed mixed use development on the riverside. No remains of archaeological significance were encountered within any of the ten trial trenches. The area contained alluvial deposits, some of which contained a small assemblage of post-medieval pottery and clay pipe fragments dating to the mid 19th century. The area had been subjected to extensive landscaping and land reclamation activity. [AIP]
