Abstract:		 The Crawford Hotel was constructed as 'Lion House', an early 19th-century gentleman's villa on thye outskirts of Exeter in 1837-8. After conversion to an hotel in the 20th century the building was enlarged and altered . This building survey was made during the conversion of the property to a convenience store and apartments in spring 2013
