Abstract: |
This report presents a synthesis of the known heritage assets for an area at Queen's Head, Oswestry, (Figure 1: central point of the application site lies at National Grid Reference SJ341270) so that the potential impact of a proposed mixed use development on the historic environment can be assessed. The desk study and assessment has been prepared by SLR Consulting on behalf of Capital Construction Management (hereafter the Client). An application for mixed use development is being submitted for an area of farmland adjacent to the Shropshire Union (Montgomery) Canal. An archaeological desk-based assessment is required as one of the supporting statements for this application. |
