Abstract: |
Archaeological evaluation works initially undertaken on the site revealed remains of the 19th century workshops and courtyards, and 20th century works buildings and WWII air raid shelter. The investigation warranted further archaeological investigation in mitigation areas A and B. The remains of 19th century domestic buildings arranged around courtyards and 19th to 20th century works buildings were uncovered. Significant artefacts recovered included medieval and post-medieval ceramics, clay tobacco pipes, glass, worked bone and CBM. |
