Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Souterrain Archaeological Services Ltd in July 2011 during groundwork for the footprint of a new Energy Centre complex at Heckfield Place (NGR SU 730 612). There was no evidence of archaeological features in the area investigated. A number of early 20th century objects of interest were recovered, including a 37mm pom-pom shell case of German manufacture; probably a souvenir from either the South African War or The Great War. |
