Abstract: |
The excavation of a 550m long stretch of pipeline, running northeast from Nether Corston Farm (NGR 331837 1019233) to the proposed turbine base (centred on NGR 332135 1019690), was monitored under constant archaeological supervision on the 6th and 7th of September 2012. The site lay within arable farmland, in the vicinity of two Scheduled Ancient Monuments Nos 3192 and 3198 - mounds which together make up the 'two mound of Hollands'. An undated linear boundary ditch and a single post-medieval pit were uncovered during the watching brief. Dave McNicol 2012. |
