Abstract: |
An evaluation of the site of a proposed redevelopment within what was once the precinct of Arbroath Abbey but which has been a residential area since the mid-18th century. The evaluation comprised the excavation of four slit trenches which revealed 0.5m of humic, garden soil lying directly on beach sands. The only possible feature of archaeological significance was a single post-pit although this is thought to be a recent feature. |
