Abstract: |
Archaeological evaluation of a site which had recently been used as a farmhouse and farm buildings. Six trenches in the second stage of evaluation (reported here), adding to 5 in the first stage. Medieval: Two features. Medium-sized ditch, interpreted as for drainage, or a boundary or both. Pit of unknown function. This activity probably associated with the Priory (SAM) c. 50m to the north of the site. Post-medieval: Four postholes, plus one from the first stage of evaluation. No structure apparent. Probably associated with the use of the site for a farm and its buildings. |
