Abstract: |
A meeting house of the late 1930s built on a new site in a very simplified version of Arts and Crafts vernacular. The building is of medium heritage significance. Evidential value: The meeting house was built in the late 1930s on a greenfield site and has been little altered. It is of low evidential value Historical value: The building was erected on a new site to serve a new meeting and is of low historical value. Aesthetic value: Brown's design is simple but not without appeal and is of medium aesthetic value. Communal value: The building is very well used by Quakers and local community groups and has high communal value. |
